My iphone 5 is current with updates but has suddenly sending incoming calls straight to voice mail and incoming texts only come through when I power the phone off and back on?

Thank you for your question! It sounds like your phone calls are going straight to voicemail and you have to restart your phone to get your text messages. I had a couple of things to recommend. First, check to see if Do Not Disturb is on in the phone settings:

You can use the Do Not Disturb setting to silence calls, alerts, and notifications.
- To enable, tap Settings > Do Not Disturb. When Do Not Disturb is on, a "moon" icon will appear in the status bar.
- To make changes to your Do Not Disturb settings, tap Settings > Do Not Disturb.
If this is turned off, I would next close all the apps on the phone that are running, and restart it one more time, and retest the issue.

Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.
If the issue persists, I would next backup your device to iTunes, and restore it:
