I am working with an illustrator, and am finishing up my children's book. I want to know if I submit it to iBooks, how much will I receive in commission/royalties if my book sells copies?

I believe Apple takes a commission of 30%. If you are not in the US there would also be withholding for taxes. You get the rest. You wll have contracts to sign if you sell directly through Apple. If you sell via an Aggregator, your relationships are with them.
