In-text Footnote Numbering

Footnote numbering in the body of the text displays normally when then the text is left-aligned. However, if the text is justified, any number with 2 or more digits that is flush with the right-hand margin will show only the first digit - second and subsequent digits are cut off. Does anyone know what the problem is and how I fix it?

I should say that I'm pretty new to Pages and to Mac.
