Have iMac 2006, Snow Leopard, iTunes 11. No backups.

I now realize the 2006 iMac is now obselete but I have already upgraded my iPad and iPhone to iOS 7 without knowing that it isn't supported on obselete computers. Now, I lost my iPhone and have NO backups on my computer. 5ucks, but I am over it and just want to be able to back up my items. Any advice?

Why the **** you're allowed to upgrade your iOS and iTunes with no warning that your machine is obsolete is beyond me and beyond irritating. But alas.

Thanks for the advice! Happy new year.

I'm not sure what your question is. You can run the newest iTunes on your computer. Are you asking how to back up your phone?

Hi, Limnos.

Thanks for your help. I am running iTunes 11.1.3 on my computer but it will not back up my iPhone nor my iPad. When I start iTunes, I get the "cannot load data class" message. I can sync to my heart's delight, which is great, but I have 0 backups on my computer. Whenever I ask it to back up a device, it goes through the motions of backing up but nothing is ever saved.

Also, genius hasn't worked around the same time that all of these problems started.

I've uninstalled iTunes, deleted frameworks, etc., used Pacify to reinstall iTunes, and nothing has helped.

Thanks again for your assistance.
