Q: Can anyone help?

IPod Touch - sinces the last upgrade I have 43 songs gone missing out of itunes can itunes get them back as the system is telling me they are missing.  Think they are songs off CDs not purchased from itunes but obviously they were there because its showing me a list of missing composers / songs.  Can any one help?
