insert image to header in Pages, template header

Right, updated to Pages 5.01. Now all my templates have lost their imnages from headers and footers (which I used for creating letterhead documents etc.).

How can I get image files back into headers and footers? I tried using the Media tool and iPhoto, tried copy and past, tried drag and driop, all it does is place the image into the body of the document and not the header.

Really, really frustrating as I have over 80 different templates I use.

Just one of the over 90+ Apple has removed from features from Pages 5, as well as adding many bugs.

Pages '09 should still be in your Applications/iWork folder.

Trash/Archive Pages 5 after exporting all your files to Pages '09 or Word .docx.

Rate/review Pages 5 in the App Store and get back to work.

Apple has done something clever but not straightforward : the use of Master Objects. (it took me a bit of time to find out this !)

If you want any layout item to be repeated to all of the pages of your document, you just have to select the item(s), then go to Arrange/Section Masters/Move Object to Section Master.

The good thing of this is that you can repeat any item or group of items placed anywhere you want on the page.

This is so much better, it is possible to design headers and footers the way you want, and suddenly, standard headers and footers look really old fashion !

However, the really good thing would have been to introduce Master Pages, like in Indesign. (and bleeds and slugs as well) Maybe in a futur update…
