break in transfer of data

I was transfering data from my Old MacBook Pro to a new MacBook Pro using a thunderbolt cable. My daughter disconnected the cables mistakenly and unpluged the power supply from both computers. Is this likely to affect the data transfer? Will I have to start all over again.
