I cannot open my .mov file in Quicktime ... It says error mid "conversion"

I have a 1.34 GB .MOV File and when I try to open it in Quicktime is says "converting" than an error message pops up and says :

QuickTime Player can't open "FANTASY_TEST_DRIVE_REV_GENERIC.mov".

I have tried on both my imacs and neither of them will open. It is really frusturating. Is there another program I should download?
