Odd dialog: "lipo?"

After installing the system, I encounter the following dialog when opening Finale, a music notation program:

The “lipo” command requires the command line developer tools. Would you like to install the tools now? Choose Install to continue. Close Get Xcode to install Xcode and the command line developer tools from the App Store. Option for clicks: GetXcode, NotNow or Install.

The program functiions normally as far as I can tell after I choose "Not Now" a couple of times.

Does anyone know what this is? Should I install?

Thanks!

Mac mini, OS X Mavericks (10.9.1)
