Copy and paste cell format only?

Is there a way to copy cell 'style' and paste it into another cell?

In Excel there's a paintbrush tool that allows copying styles, but I don't see any way to do this in Numbers.

I'm working with several different currencies and it's time-consuming to keep using pull-down menus for cell/data format/currency/GBP etc.

Hi SaltSeaShark,

If you are using Numbers 3 you can copy and paste styles this way:

  1. Click cell with style you want to copy style from and choose Format > Copy Style from the menu (or type option-command-c).
  2. Click target cell(s) you want to copy the style to and choose Format > Paste Style from the menu (or type option-command-v).

This has a similar effect to the paintbrush tool in Excel.
