Can you edit video with aperture?

Aperture 3 has basic video editing - you can trim the video, set the key frame, extract a still frame.

For more advanced video processing, like stabilization, clippling, effects, you'd better use iMovie, that comes free with every mac.

Depending upon what you mean by "edit", yes. But compared to, say, iMovie or FCPX, crudely.

However, you can easily trim from front and back of a clip to shorten it, for either timing or esthetics.
