I'm making books in Aperture 3.4.5 I've generally had good results but this recent book is a problem.

The photos look great in Aperture. When I export to the pdf before buying the books I've seen some of the darkest areas in the photos show bronzing, a sort of black/green black/magenta breakdown in what should be solid black, kind of a "northern lights" effect though very dark.

I have not manipulated the photographs heavily, the originals are large tiffs embedded w/ Adobe RGB.  Anyone have this problem? Anyone know if the weird effect in the pdf will show up in the printed book? Suggestions or solutions would be sincerely appreciated.

I'm in Aperture 3.4.4 but see near the same issue in past versions also.

I don't know why this happens, I found only one workarounds when I see such issue: try to redevelop the photo: slightly increase brightness, decrease contrast and/or tweak the color balance.

    usually increasing brightness helps me.
