In order to run FINAL CUT PRO X, I need OS10.9 or better. But my computer says it's already fully updated at 10.7.5. So how do I upgrade to 10.9?

I'm installing Marverick app but it doesn't really look like it's downloading much...
actually it's just sittig there looking like it isn't going to download...scratch that...maybe it's just going to take a while!
