BOOTCAMP Partition Does Not Show UP In Partition List

I an running Snow Leopard 10.6.8. I used Boot Camp Assistant 3 to create a Windows partition. But when I try to install Windows, the BOOTCAMP partition does not show up in the list of partitions to select for the install.

Even though when I boot into OS X the BOOTCAMP partition does show up in Disk Utility. Why does it not show up in the partition list when trying to install Windows? Thanks.

iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.8)
