My iPod touch is connected to my pc with a cable and it is getting charged, but it isnt being detected in devices or in iTunes and i really need to put music in there. How can i get the device to be detected???

Have you tried on another computer to help determine if you have a computer or iPod problem?
I've tried about everything i've read and your solutions, it just doesn't seem to work. :[
Did you try on another computer?
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.
