Are FLAC or MP3-320 files compatible?

Are FLAC and/or MP3-320 files (as offered by CDBaby) usable in iTunes, or must I stay with MP3's?

iMac, OS X Mavericks (10.9.1)

You can use MacFlac to convert FLAC to MP3.
