Q: Ram upgrade problem
I recently tried to install another 4GB of ram to my iMac. Everything seemed to go fine, I could see the extra ram in the activity monitor.
When the iMac went to sleep with the new ram installed it refused to wake up. I tried mouse, keyboard and power button to try and wake it. I had to turn off the power and start it up again.
I tried a NVRAM/PRAM reset.
The no waking problem was resolved by removing the ram.
iMac: 21.5-inch, Mid 2010, 3.2 GHz
RAM: Crucial 4GB DDR3 PC3-10600 SODIMM 204 Pin Memory Module
Could this be a case of bad RAM or am I missing something?
iMac, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.5)

That's the correct ram for your iMac. Try reinstalling it and making sure that it is completely seated. Reset the SMC http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964 and if it's still giving you problems call Crucial.
