If you need a Paragon NTFS driver, why would you turn it off?
Check that it is the latest version.
If you do not need it, uninstall it alltogether.
When you need transfer with a Windows computer once in awhile, use an external disk formatted in "Exfat" format, which is read/write for both windows and osx. It also does not have the 4GB size limit of files.
Paragon NTFS is incompatible with Parallels when attaching a physical drive.
For instance, I have a shared data partition formatted as NTFS. If the Paragon driver is running, Parallels is unable to mount the disk. So, I have to turn the Paragon driver off in system preferences and reboot in order to use Parallels.
I suspect that this would also be an issue with VirtualBox or Fusion.
