Monster ControlTalk cable

Hi. Pls can you advise if there are any settings for iPhone 4S / iPad 4 that need changing for the Monster ControlTalk cable to function correctly? Currently none of the buttons work on the cable with either my iPhone 4S or iPad 4. Thanks

For me, no settings needed to be changed. I would check with the manifacturer to see if the cable is defective. This has occured to me more then once. Also, trying another cable would work.
