How do I backup iTunes application?

I want to migrate my application to a new computer, but I don't want to go and setup all the preferences again. Is it possible to backup the iTunes application settings? For instance, I don't want to setup subscriptions to Podcasts again, or tell the application where to find art for songs, or good lord put compilations back together again because the library separated artists on an album.

That would be awesome if it could move. I took my best guess since Windows wasn't an option when I created the discussion. How do I do that?

Also, I am referring to backing up the iTunes application itsself. I understand that it doesn't run on an iPad. I have been asked to find out if the user iTunes preferences can be moved to a new computer.

See this migrate iTunes library post. After moving the library across install the application itself by downloading from Apple's website. Most of the settings and the layout of the library will move with it. Some information is stored in preference files stored in the AppData area of the user profile, e.g. the options for Keep... & Copy... that controls what happens when you add files to the library, however I'm not certain whether copying those across is effective and it is easy enough to set them up by hand.
