Q: iTunes U course on a mac

Can an iTunes U course be viewed on a Mac or a PC, or on an iOS device only? I know I can see the resources in iTunesU on a Mac/PC but can an entire course be accessed this way?

If the course is public (on an institution's public facing iTunes U site), you can download the materials but you cannot see posts, outline etc.  If the course is not  public, there is no way that you can access any of it from MacOS X.

 

So far, the only way to get full access to an iTunes U course is to use the iTunes U app which is only available for iOS.  I had hoped to see a MacOS X version and still hope that Apple is working on that.  I doubt that we'll ever see a Windows version.
