Black screen, iPad wont show home screen. Bulb?

My iPad just shut off one day while I was using it. I thought my battery just went dead, so I charged. The home screen would not illuminate so I thought it was my charger. So I went and brought a new charger and chargered it ov3er night. The next morning I tried to turn it on and still no home screen. I tried resetting it, the apple icon flashes breifly and disappears. It seems like a light bulb may be blown or something. I can tell it charges because a very dim light in the back comes on. It also syncs with my computer just fine. My screen just wont come on. Please HELP!!!!!!

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased.
