The standard widgets do not do anything like it ...except the HTML 5 widget, but without coding knowledge or knowing somebody that does and has lots of time fee........
There is a website which may help - at a cost - ibook-widgets dot com they also have an excellent free tutorial for iBooks Author "Create your first Interactive books - using iBooks Author.

Thanks very much I"ll think about that website, think I'll concentrate on still first!

Feb 27, 2014 8:38 AM in response to ArghElzby DavidSantillana,You can try to make animations Hype or Adobe Edge Animation, these apps can export to javascript. Later you can put in the ePub.
I do not remember for sure, but I think these apps can export widgets for iBooks Author also.
