Q: Animation in an ibook - help/advice/starting point please

Hi,

I want to make a book with interactive animation, for example, a sky with stars, touch the star and it twinkles.

Is this possible for me to do, where do I start? - where should I make the animation and how to bring it into  an ibook?

I know literally nothing about the animation side of ibooks so I'm looking for starting points. As someone who knows nothing about html, coding, will this be an impossibility?

Thanks very much

Elinor

There is an example similar to  what you  want... but it was  done by a big studio!

The  standard  widgets do not  do anything like it  ...except the HTML 5 widget, but  without coding knowledge or knowing somebody that does and has lots of time fee........

There is a website which may help - at a cost - ibook-widgets dot com   they also have an excellent free tutorial for iBooks Author "Create your first Interactive books - using iBooks Author.

Thanks very much, it strange to me that they haven't made this easier to do, like some cross platform process where I can import an animation created in adobe or something.  Thanks very much I"ll think about that website, think I'll concentrate on still first!

    Thanks

You can try to make animations Hype or Adobe Edge Animation, these apps can export to javascript. Later you can put in the ePub.

I do not remember for sure, but I think these apps can export widgets for iBooks Author also.
