I never accepted to set up a keychain password when I was setting up my Mac. Now I'm being prompted for a password! It's rendered my Mac unusable.

I didn't accept to creat a keychain password when I was setting up my Mac, a couple of months ago. Now it's prompting me for one, & has as a consequence rendered it unusable?!

Mac Pro, OS X Mavericks (10.9.1)
