Got a used iPad, it has old user's PW and ID, how do I get to app store and new user and pw?

Just bought a used iPad via Amazon--in good shape but still has old users ID and PW on it. How can I get a new ID/PW so I can get to app store etc.?

in every setting on the ipad except the icloud settings u can just sign out and sign in with ur apple id. in the icloud settings, if the ipad is running ios 7 or later software, u will have to have the previous owners apple id and password to log out. if thats the case u should return it if u can and get ur money back.

The previous owner should have done this.

If not, and the iPad is running iOS 7.x, it is Activation locked and you will never be able to use it without the ID and PW.

Contact Amazon (or its seller company).

As it turned out I have an iPad of my own (this one for my wife) and it had been synced to itunes. So, I connected the new iPad to my dell, the dell recognized it as my iPad but had the new one's serial #. It synced with it as what I will call a "Clone" type relationship and they both work fine--which is OK with us since we share all info on both.

I will still be interested in possilbe pitfalls I might encounter later
