iphone 4 stuck in headphone mode

Up & Down buttons on the side show "headphones" when it should say "ringer"

iphone thinks headphones are in the jack (even though they aren't). I just had this problem today and was able to fix it by putting my ear buds in several times and pulling them back out. Then I used a can of compressed air to blow out the headphone jack. Took a couple times, but it's back to allowing me to hear my callers.

Just get a hair dryer. Don't use the hot mode, use the cool mode and hold it at the headphone hole for 5-10 minutes. It works instantly after that.

Thanks...But only took 10-15 SECONDS for the hairdryer to work its magic.

Had problem iphone stuck on headphone only, placed upside down on radiator for an hour now it works ok

No sucking required my friends! - just a hairdryer aimed at the jack socket works every time
