i edited my Apple ID and now my Find My Friends App doesn't work

I changed my email address so i updated my Apple ID to my new email address too. Now my Find My Friends App doesnt work. I have been sent friend requests using the new Apple ID and when i try to accept invitation, i get an error message: FIND MY FRIENDS ALERT "Find My Friends is unavailable due to a server error"

I also encounter this error when I try to use the notify function of the app.

I have tried on both WIFI and when only on 3G, can someone please provide assistance on how to resolve this issue.
