Jan 14, 2014 3:31 PM in response to Tooineypby AAron-76,Hold volume down and home till phone powers off, then release volume down hold home for a bit longer till the connect comes back. I think its 3-5 seconds holding both then home button for 5, not sure then restore again.
restores sometimes take a couple tries.

Is this your issue...
Activation Lock in iOS 7 > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5818
If so... sorry... but
The Apple ID and Password that was Originally used to Activate the iDevice is required
If you do not have that information you will not be able to use the Device.

If you are getting the message Activation servers unavailable
That usually means the activation servers have detected a Jailbroken iPhone OR a Computer used to jailbreak an iPhone

Dec 1, 2015 11:16 PM in response to Tooineypby ozocino,This has worked for me. (At least I was able to activate, I still have "Searching..." problem)
1. Hard reset the iphone. (Home+Power buttons until apple sign appears.)
2. Switch off the iphone
3. Put the iphone into freezer for 1.5 hour. (Your sim card should be inside)
4. Wipe the moisture of iphone and wait half an hour
5. Wipe the moisture of iphone again and try.
