iPhone 4 screen getting bigger and force shut off to get normal?

Sometimes when I am using my 1 year old iPhone 4, I will tap to open an app or just accidentally tap the screen and the screen blows up to a huge size (apps can still be read though). The phone is also very slow and has very little memory left (I have deleted everything else that I dont need - Its a 8 GB phone). I usually end up force shutting off to fix it, there is no other way. Is there any way I can trade in for a 5S? Please help...

iPhone 4, iOS 7.0.3

On the Home screen, double-tap with three fingers to exit zoom.

Then go to Settings > General > Accessibility and make sure Zoom is turned Off.
