I bought an iPad yesterday, but when I checked my bank account online it shows 2 charges from Apple that are the cost of the iPad. Except they are both about $3 apart. Why did I get charged twice for my iPad? Please help. This is a huge problem for me.

Ask where you purchased. Possibly they entered wrong, also remote possibility someone stole your credit card number. But we cannot help as we are just users.
Steve is right , Contact the point of purchase there might be some discrepancy in the Billing.
And if the time of messages are same then there are less chances of your Card used by someone else.
I do not suggest misuse of the card lightly. But it must be resolved quickly if true.
My credit card # wasn't stolen because the charges were made on the same date. Also I used 3 Apple Store gift cards to pay for some of the cost, but the remainder I had to pay was about $400.
One of the charges says it from the Apple store, then the other says Check Card Balance Apple Store or something. So I thought they were charging it twice for extra security then take back the 2nd one, but that can't be because they're both $3 apart.

The store I bought it from was the online Apple store though. Apple.com
Then you should be Happy as its APPLE ! they'll get it sorted out in No time , Just Contact Apple Sales
