my ipod shuffle dieddd !!!!

got it out the box, brand new. put some music onto it and decided to listen to them in bed, as a trial, before i went off jogging with my new playlist and it died !!!! the battery status said "full" not long before it died, which is what's puzzling me the most. Help !?

i've done the rookie thing and pressed all the buttons, none of them are responding - so i came to my pc to plug it into iTunes, but iTunes isn't recognising it anymore.

what do i do !?!? does anyone know what the problem is ? please help XD
