Pages offers some formats of footnotes, such as 1,2,3... and i, ii, iii....,etc
However, I need other formats like [1],[2],[3].... or ①,②,③....
How can I add my own formats? Other ways to solve this problem are also welcome.
Not that I am aware off. I couldn't find any features for it. You can add [ ] manually but then you have to do it all the time.
But I can't add [ ] manually in the footnotes, as the size of footnotes is different from other parts.
You can see that the size of [ ] doesn't match to the number.
If I make [ ] small, then the main text becomes small too.
So now I don't know what to do😕
You have to do them superscript but not the text.
On my keyboard it is Ctrl + Cmd + plus. You toggle the short cut key, that is you us the same short cut keys for invoking the change as forchanging back to normal. Don't forget to change back the character after the ].
Format menu > Font > Baseline > Superscript
