Song no longer can be heard when on Facetime

I use to enjoy playing songs and discussing music with my daughter in Florida...... now under Mavericks and iTunes 11.3.1 when I'm using facetime you can't hear the song.

I can see it playiing, but no sound.

I can't find a preference to turn it own. Anyone know if there is one.
