Cannot log out from Google/Gmail

Gmail / Google Apps has been working perfectly with Safari. But suddenly, the other day I cannot access the Toolbar or Log out of my account. The Toolbar icon and my e-mail address (that's showing at the top right) is no longer clickable. So I can't access my Google Drive and all other services nor can't I log out of my account. Anybody with this problem? Anybody with a solution?

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Mavericks (10.9)

From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Privacy tab.

Click: Remove All Website Data

Quit and relaunch Safari to test.

If that didn't help, open a Finder window again. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder

Type or copy paste the following:

~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db

Click Go then move the Cache.db file to the Trash.

Quit and relaunch Safari to test.
