How to set up Wordpress Locally as Intranet

Hi,

I am running Snow Leopard server on a Mac mini, and we (a local art center) use it for simple tasks like user management, file sharing, controlling set of computers and such.

Now I would like to set up wordpress as intranet site for staff/volunteers.

I have an experice of installing wordpress on web server before (like our website is running on web hosting company's server), but not on local Mac OS X server... I know they have mysql database, but not sure of how to create an user and database for locally run wordpress?

Let me know if anyone can walk throguh this process.

Thanks!

yoshi
