Can I use a G5 for iTunes source for my ATV2 and can I use it as a Remote Time Machine for my other intel macs?
Thank you,
anybody?
I just do not want to buy a Intel Mac (500 bucks) just to have it sitting next to the router with nobody using it...
Hello, I don't know for certain, but I'm fairly sure 105.8 doesn't work with it.
Then again, maybe I'm wrong, iTunes 10.2 seems to be the requirement...

Though Home Sharing requires an iTunes Store account!?
Good point...ATV2 requires 10.2 or newer, so I did some googling and I found this

(iTunes 10.6 for PPC)
Soooo I am "assuming" that both my questions are yes...
I will wait a little bit more to see if anybody else provides more input...
Thank you BDAqua...

Thank you,
Short answer: No.
Somehow I think it's now tied to other things at the same time, like later versions of Quicktime, et cetera, but finding real info these days is well... not easy. 😟
