Kraftwerk, I want to thank you for your post! This fixed my issue today. After downloading itunes 11.3.0.54 I was having massive issues with itunes freezing up and hogging resources. I am running win 7 64 bit and have a massive podcasting stream. I brought up task manager and force closed the application 12 times. I tried reinstalling itunes. I am leaving in two hours for vacation and I just wanted all my newest podcasts. What a relief that your post appeared. This saved me from throwing my computer out the door! thank you, Thank You, THANK YOU!!!!

😍😁🙂

Hi Kraftwerk,

Your hint worked well, upto a certain point :-)

Performed a repair of the freshly installed iTunes and indeed, after the restart of the computer it started like a charm. I could perform a backup of my iPad and then I closed iTunes, did some other things and restarted iTunes to update my iPad's iOS.

iTunes didn't started. Performed a shutdown and after the shutdown started iTunes. Worked again. Stopped iTunes, checked Taskmanager, no running processes for iTunes, restarted iTunes. No iTunes.

I'm more then confused. No error messages, nothing in my eventviewer, just nothing.

Any idea which direction I now have to go :-)
