Q: OS X Mavericks & iPhone 5 Hot Spot

Hi Community,

I installed OS X Maverick last week. Yesterday while at work at a client's site I tried to Hot Spot my iPhone 5 and the MacBook Pro. It finds the phone but will not connect. No reason is given.

This worked all the time with the last OS. (like for years)

Between the HOT sport not working and the calendars never syncing from the phone with the MacBook, I am fast getting turned off the lovely products...

Any help as usual will be most welcome.

Hi Judy,   thanks for the article which I read and low and behold it set me on the path to solving the problem.

I know this will sound stupid but with Maverick the symbol to say the Hot Spot is working is 2 links of a chain. (Not the full dark fan, Wifi active symbol)  The article suggested that once I engaged the Hot Spot I try and open a web page. This worked, and so I sent myself a test e-mail. And that worked. Maybe it's because I'm 102 years old !!!

I was at a client's office yesterday and I everything worked perfectly.  (Now if open the calendars would sync with the iPhone)

    Thanks for your help.
