Does transfering photos taken by iPhone 5 to iPad 4th. Gen by airdrop diminishes their quality?

Hi,

I want to use my iPhone 5 to take pictures whilst my trip, but I want to then to transfer them via airdrop to my iPad, which has 64GB, so that my iPhone is empty again and ready to take pictures the next day. Will transfering photos taken from my iPhone to my iPad via airdrop, and then (when I get back home) to my iPhoto (from my iPad) diminish their quality? The main idea is using my iPhone as a camera and my iPad as a storage device containing the pictures, but loosing no quality of the iPhone's 8mpx camera.

thanks 🙂

iPhone 5, iOS 7.0.4

iPhoto for iOS (iPhone): Ways to share photos

http://support.apple.com/kb/PH3266

  • If you have a device that supports AirDrop, you can send photos wirelessly to other iOS devices that use AirDrop. AirDrop shares photos in full resolution.

  • If you have an iCloud account and you’ve set up My Photo Stream, photos you save to the Camera Roll are sent to all of your devices.

Send photos using AirDrop

To use AirDrop to export items, you must turn on AirDrop on your device and the iOS device that's receiving the items. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to open Control Center, then turn on AirDrop.

AirDrop is available on iPhone 5, iPad (4th generation), iPad mini, and iPod touch (5th generation) and requires an iCloud account.

  1. Tap a photo, album, event, journal, or slideshow and tap the share button, then tap AirDrop.
  2. Tap Selected, or change the photos you want to share (if you’re sending a slideshow, skip to step 3):
    • Select different photos: Tap Choose Photos, tap one or more photos, and tap Next.
    • Select a range of photos: Tap Choose Photos, tap Range, tap the first and last photos in the range, and tap Next.
    • Select all the photos in an album or event: Tap All.
  3. Tap the device name you want to send the items to.
  4. On the iOS device receiving the items, tap Accept.
