I use a mac. They are both extremely sluggish. The app store is the worst and most anoying. I already have tried lots of things including flushing cashes, removing temp files, turning of genius in itunes. No result.
Something is going wrong with my id I think? Since it's both stores that are off.

I hadnt found the 'advanced' troubleshooting yet so thanks. I couldn't find a solution though. My latest error (error -1200) isn't listed unfortunately.

Well, I have been looking around for you and found nothing positive either. But, what I did see in Google was not comforting so I think you should follow the route I suggested via Apple support.
Apple does not publish a formal error list, and such that I did find did not include -1200.
I can't tell where you are but your name suggests UK. Is there a reason preventing you using Apple support?
My experience with 'support' in general is that it's not very supporting if you know what I mean 😉
I have put my question to apple support but so far I only get the predictible questions about stuff I have already checked. I was hoping to find someone with the same problem. It seems like this isn't an isolated problem. No solutions so far unfortunately.
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar.
Click the Clear Display icon in the toolbar. Then try the action that you're having trouble with again. Select any messages that appear in the Console window. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message (command-V).
When posting a log extract, be selective. In most cases, a few dozen lines are more than enough.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
Important: Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.

I rebooted and then Finder started crashing every 10 seconds or so. I'm typing in 'Safe Mode'... I'm thinking a clean system install is probably my best bet? So many things going wrong. It's hard to isolate where it is coming from?

Launch the built-in Terminal application in any of the following ways:

☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
When you launch Terminal, a text window will open with a line already in it, ending either in a dollar sign ($) or a percent sign (%). If you get the percent sign, enter “sh” and press return. You should then get a new line ending in a dollar sign.
Click anywhere in the Terminal window and paste (command-V). The text you pasted should vanish immediately. If it doesn't, press the return key.
If you're logged in as an administrator, you'll be prompted for your login password. Nothing will be displayed when you type it. You will not see the usual dots in place of typed characters. Make sure caps lock is off. Type carefully and then press return. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you make three failed attempts to enter the password, the test will run anyway, but it will produce less information. In most cases, the difference is not important.
If you're not logged in as an administrator, you won't be prompted for your password. The test will still run. It just won't do anything that requires administrator rights.
The test may take up to a few minutes to run, depending on how many files you have and the speed of the computer. A computer that's abnormally slow may take longer to run the test. There is no indication of progress until it's done. Wait for the line "[Process completed]" to appear in the Terminal window. If you don't see that line within half an hour or so, the test probably won't complete in a reasonable time. In that case, close the Terminal window and report your results. No harm will be done.
When the test is complete, quit Terminal. The results will have been copied to the Clipboard automatically. They are not shown in the Terminal window. Please don't copy anything from there. All you have to do is start a reply to this comment and then paste by pressing command-V again.
If any private information, such as your name or email address, appears in the results, anonymize it before posting. Usually that won't be necessary.
When you post the results, you might see the message, "You have included content in your post that is not permitted." That's because the forum software falsely identifies something in the post as a violation of the terms of use. If that happens, please post the results on Pastebin, then post a link here to the page you created.

The problem you have appears to be more compex than first thought. But do try to follow linc's guidance before you reinstall, which is a nuisance in itself. Point is, if you can't follow it then you may have to reinstall anyway. If you can follow it, you may get a result more quickly and with less trouble.

I'm making a time machine back up and I ran your script. Thanks for willing to take it a step further. I'm not thrilled about a reinstall either... A good clean might be good because I see things that are not supposed to be on my system anymore (nike sport for example).

Your system is so heavily modified that, instead of trying to remove the modifications piecemeal, you should erase your boot volume, reinstall OS X, and then go through the initial setup process, restoring only your user data and settings from a backup — not applications or other files. This procedure will be easier than trying to clean up a messy system.
Back up all data to at least two different storage devices, if you haven't already done so. The backups can be made with Time Machine or with a mirroring tool such as Carbon Copy Cloner. Preferably both. You must be certain that you can restore everything to the state it's in now.
Note that if you're running in safe mode, you can't connect to a Time Capsule or other network volume. You'll have to back up to a locally-attached hard drive.
Erase and install OS X. This operation will destroy all data on the volume, so you had be better be sure of your backups. If you upgraded from an older version of OS X, you'll need the Apple ID and password that you used, so make a note of those before you begin.
When you reboot, you'll be prompted to go through the initial setup process in Setup Assistant. That’s when you transfer the data from one of your backups.
Select only users and Computer & Network Settings in the Setup Assistant dialog — not Applications or Other files and folders. Don't transfer the Guest account, if it was enabled.
After that, run Software Update.
If the problem is resolved after the clean installation, reinstall your third-party software selectively. I can only suggest general guidelines. Self-contained applications that install into the Applications folder by drag-and-drop or download from the App Store are usually safe. Anything that comes packaged as an installer or that prompts for an administrator password is suspect, and you must test thoroughly after reinstalling each such item to make sure you haven't restored the problem.
I strongly recommend that you never reinstall commercial "anti-virus" products or "utilities," if they're packaged as an installer. If you do that, the problem is likely to recur.
Before installing any software, ask yourself the question: "Am I sure I know how to uninstall this without having to wipe the volume again?" If the answer is "no," stop.
Never install any third-party software unless you know how to uninstall it.
