No internet with Mavericks/Windows 8 Pro Bootcamp 5.1

I have a new MacBook Air, purchased 9/2013. Upgraded to Mavericks. I have software that has to run on windows 8 pro. I have installed windows 8 pro and can boot it up. I have bootcamp 5.1. I have tried all of the recommendations and windows cannot find any wireless networks or devices. I have run ot of ideas...any help appreciated. I have 10.9.1 OSX....thank you! Tom

Parallels and VMWare Fusion are both virtualization programs which allow Windows to be virtualized on a Mac. These programs are not free.

There is also VirtualBox which is free and does the same thing.

These programs run Windows as a virtual machine. They do not allow Windows to use your hardware natively so gaming is very limited. If you aren't planning on gaming in Windows it may well be sufficient to use virtualization.
