Just bought a Cannon MG3500 series printer. Apparently there is no driver for this unit that is compatible with Mavericks. Does anybody know of a solution?

Have you tried Canon's Web site for the Mg3500 Series?
Click on the Operating System list and select OS X Mavericks v10.9; then the Drivers section below it to download drivers.
I downloaded the FIRMWARE update from CANON for PIXMA MG3520 and the file downloaded "mfuu-mac-mg3500-1_0a-ea7.dmg" when ran has no file in it that will update the printer.
Is there anyway to get driver support for Cannon MG3500 series printer compatible with Mavericks ?
