350 MB External HD in smart drive enclosure
connecting via USB
It mounts OK on my PowerMac (10.6.8)
but refuses to mount on my Mac Book Pro (10.9.1)
(though it used to before but it just won't anymore)
Any ideas ?

When it used to mount on the MBP, was it an earlier OSX version?
Assuming this is a USB drive, does any other USB thing work on the MBP?
Just upgraded to Maverick thinking it would solve the issue but it didn't
and other usb's are working
Do you know what format the drive is?
Was it working on the MBP using 10.8.x & not since 10.9.x?

Stopped working in 10.8.x, that why I went to 10.9 in the hope that it would work but still doesn't
Just now, briefly appeared in TechTool Pro (as a generic). Tried to reconstruct the volume which, apparently, didn't need reconstruction and then dissapeared again. TTP doesn't see it, neither does Disk utility
External HD mounts in 10.6.8 but not in 10.9.1 ?
