Q: Can Calendar show week numbers?

The calendar week function does not match the European calendar. How can we correct this?

Check your settings in System Preferences...>Language & Region.

I changed the region from US to Austria, and it still does not correlate correctly.

To fix the week number:

Under System Preferences -> Language & Region; you have to change the Calendar from Gregorian to ISO 8601.

Where I can make these changes on the iphone? The only calendar's I can choose is the Gregorian, Japanese or Buddhist.

It's been a while since the original post, but here goes my question, why don't the week numbers match between calendars in iOS and OS X ? I mean, in El Capitan, macbook shows the correct week numbers according to the ISO system, but on iOS (iPad and iPhone using iOS 9.2.1) week numbers are not correct, and the different calendars available on settings to configure do not give the possibility to change it to the same used in ical.

Any ideas on this?
