My Speedtest from my previous AirPort Extreme was Download 28.58 Mb/s Upload 5.62 Mb/s and my Speedtest with my new Airport Extreme with 802.11ac is Download 28.87 Mb/s Upload 5.88 Mb/s. I am using the Quickertek 802.11ac USB wireless adapter on both my MacBook Pro and MacMini with the same disappointing results. Does anyone have any suggestions or am I using the wrong test?

Are you just running an Internet speed test? If so it is just testing the speed of the internet which is likely far less than the speed of the network itself.
If you want to see your connection speed open up Network Utility and check the Link speed under the Info tab.

The internal network speed does not have anything to do with the internet speed. (Unless the internal network is slower than the internet, which is very unlikely)
I rebooted and now I'm getting 867 Mbit/s, so I guess my 802.11ac connection is performing correctly.
