My Apple TV remote just stopped work - not battery - reset using suggestion of holding the menu and down button and unplugging. The Apple TV reset and the main screen appears - the light is on the Apple TV but the remote has no control? What next?

Your Apple TV may have become paired with another remote. Hold the remote close to and pointed at the Apple TV, hold down the menu and Rewind buttons together for 6 seconds or until you see a broken chain icon on screen.

remote indicates power to turn on - screen appears but remote won't work
