I have an old AOL ITunes ID and cannot log into Apple ID.

Same issue here... I've been using my AOL account login to access iTunes for years, and it suddenly stopped working around a week ago. Constantly getting a wrong password error. I know it's correct because I've logged into AOL mail fine and have even tried updating passwords. Now I can't purchase any apps anymore.

As far as I know, you can't reset the security questions for an AOL Apple ID since they were never given to Apple in the first place. It seems like the link between Apple and AOL logins is broken at the moment. I know it's happened in the past, and just seems to get fixed after awhile with no notice.

Any ideas?

I'm having simialr problems. Nightmare. It seems like i have 2 apple id's. One just my aol username and the other with the full aol email address. It seems like there are different passwords to the accounts. I can sign into my iphone for app store and itunes with my full email address id but when i try to update apps it asks me for the username only password. I have email support now for the problem to be resolved. This happens far to regularly on my iphone and ipod. Any other suggestions would be welcomed :-)

Spoke to Apple Support last night. First of all, the "genius" I spoke to had no idea that you could sign into iTunes with just an AOL username. He was convinced I was crazy and kept insisting that I need to add"@aol.com" to my sign-in. Finally, after about an hour, we finally got ahold of a supervisor and they informed me that this is a problem affecting anybody that signs in with an AOL username. The Good news is that they are working on it and it should be resolved in a few days. The bad news is, until then you cannot sign-in to iTunes with just an AOL username.
