How do I download dropbox onto macbook pro? When i run install it says that it cant be opened becasue it was not downloaded from the Mac App store, yet i can't find dropbox in App store. Help please.

Yes it did.
System Preferences > Security & Privacy > General > Allow Apps Downloaded From: Anywhere
Now, try and run the dropbox installation again.

have you tried holding down the Control key when you selected it for installation? (See here for an explanation of what Gatekeeper does, and why this action works around it.)
If you look in the Security & Privacy pane of System Preferences, and select the General tab, you might have the “Allow apps downloaded from:” radio button set to either “Mac App Store” or “Mac App Store and identified developers”, which could explain why you’d received that message.
