Can I assign separate ringtone to contacts?
Can I assign different ringtones to my contacts? Also can I only let my contacts ring my phone?

You can assign different ringtones to different contacts. That is done in the Contacts app, for each individual contact you want to be different than the default ringtone.
You can use Do Not Disturb to restrict how you receive calls. See this support document about Do Not Disturb. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5463
