What if a friend let me borrow his Apple ID for a app and every time I get a update I can't without his password and I also have a Apple ID but mines didn't pop up for that particular app

You need to Delete that App and Download it using Your Apple ID.
Anything Downloaded with a Particular Apple ID is tied to that Apple ID and Cannot be Merged or Transferred to a Different Apple ID
